Easy Self-Care Tips For Everyday!

I know how stressful each day can be! We all have so much going on in our lives that it’s easy to be consumed with stress, anxiety or just not have enough time to take care of ourselves. Today I want to share 4 super easy self-care tips that you can incorporate into your everyday routine that will help you stop, drop and relax! 1) Get Outside: In the middle of a busy day there is nothing better than taking a few moments to go outside and breathe some fresh air! I actually set an alarm on my phone every 3 hours or to go outside for a few minutes! Studies have shown that going outside can increase your energy, lower your blood pressure, and reduce stress. Don’t make an excuse - just do it!

2) Pamper yourself for just 1 minute! Taking time to pamper yourself during a busy day is so important. I am not talking about an hour massage or a pedicure but something that literally takes a minute! For me this is either moisturizing my hands and legs (and giving myself a mini massage) or doing my quick delicious lip routine to keep my lips smooth and soft.

I always carry with me my L’Occitane three-step regimen in my work bag and it is one of my favorite parts of the day.

The first step is using the Marmalade Kiss Delicious Lip Scrub. It’s enriched with marmalade extract, and carrot, pomelo and pomegranate oils. It’s super gentle and tastes AMAZING!

After I scrub I put on the 3-in-1 Delicious Multi-Balm. I personally use this to make my Delicious Tinted Balm last longer and to protect and moisturize my lips all day. It is rich in Vitamin E and smells like a dreamy spa.

Lastly I put on my Delicious Tinted Balm in the color Gimme Mauve. This adds the perfect natural pop of color and has the most irresistible sunny and fruity scent. I never leave home without this balm; it is incredible all-around! It is also 100% vegetarian and silicone free!

3) Exercise Daily: I always say that I can’t control my entire day but I can control the 30 minutes to 1 hour I take out of my day to move my body and feel good. Exercising is so important for taking care of yourself inside and out. For me it helps reduce anxiety, stress, and truly puts me in a better mood. If I can’t make it to the gym I will practice some yoga at home or at the beach. As long as I am moving, I am happy!

4) Say NO: This one has been a game changer in my life and something I think everyone should practice and not feel guilty about. You don’t have to say YES to everything that comes your way if you are already feeling tired, stressed, burnt out, or have too much to do. It’s ok to have to turn down dinner plans or something extra outside of what you absolutely need to do that day to be alone, relax and maybe just watch some Netflix. By saying no to other you truly say yes to yourself.
